1951 - A series of community Visiting Days were held, raising further enthusiasm and support for the project. The Valley Hospital was dedicated on Aug 5, 1951 and opened Aug 8 with 108 beds, 22 bassinets, 78 physicians, 181 employees, and more than 1,500 auxilians and volunteers.
