History of Valley Hospital

1938 - After several years of weak responses to fund-raising efforts during the Great Depression, Lesner wrote to his fellow RHA officers: "Frankly, I am forced to the conviction that you are right and I am wrong. Our hospital can never be built." By 1940, the RHA was trying to get the Village of Ridgewood to take over the North Van Dien property.
